Neel Akasher Chadni is a Bengali romance film released in 2009. It was written and produced by Pijus Shaha under the direction of Sujit Guha.
The story of Neel Akasher Chadni starts with Akash (Jeet) and Neel (Jishu Sengupta) who are childhood friends. Neels father is an industrialist who considers Akash like his another son as he promised Akash’s father in his deathbed. Neel moves to USA to finish his MBA while Akash goes to the college and has a dream to be a singer one day. Chadni (Koel Mallick) and Akash are in the same college and happens to fall in love with each other. Meanwhile Neel finishes his MBA comes back home and at the airport he meets Chadni and falls in love with her. Neel’s father and Chadni’s father decides to let them marry each other but Chadni refuses and wants to marry Akash. When Neel comes to know about Akash and Chadni love each other he lies to his father that he has another girlfriend who he loves so that Akash and Chadni could marry each other. Unfortunately in the engagement day Akash dies in an accident and afterwards Chadni was forced to marry Neel. They marries each other and goes to honeymoon where the story takes a twist.
